Jim Carrey retires from acting. He said that I've done enough.
He is one of the most iconic actors in Hollywood from the 90s to today. The master of slapstick humor established himself with great comedies such as Ace Ventura,
The Mask and The Cable Guy, later moving on to more dramatic films such as Number 23, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Truman Show itself. Now, Carrey believes that the time has come to retire from acting.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, the interpreter stated that after Sonic The Hedgehog 2 he will retire from acting at least for a while. “Depends, if the angels bring me a script that is written in gold ink and tells me that it is going to be really important for people to see it, I may continue down this path but I will take a break,” said the actor of 60 years.
“I really like my quiet life, I like to paint and I really love my spiritual life. I feel like, and this is something you may not hear from another celebrity ever, I've had too much.
I've done too much, enough is enough,” Carrey added, looking back on his career and putting ambition aside.
We recently learned that Bruce Willis is forced to give up his career due to a terrible health problem.
The Pulp Fiction actor suffers from aphasia and this makes communication impossible for him, since it directly affects language, which makes it completely difficult for him to work.
For his part, Carrey has been highly critical of Hollywood and the industry in general, and possibly this is a decision guided by the disenchantment of the environment.
In any case, the actor stated that if Dolly Parton summoned him for her biopic, he would say yes without thinking.
The truth is that the country star is working on her movie and has considered Carrey as the interpreter of Porter Wagoner, something that Jim is very excited about.
